Creating Memories with the Family
Spring Break and Summer are approaching and the kiddos can't wait to visit the beach or go on vacation. Did you read how I blamed the "can't wait" on the kiddos? Lol. No seriously, where do we go to create memories this year? There are several questions that we've had to ask ourselves. One of them being, how far are we willing to travel? You have searched high and low for the best deals and the closer to your dates you get, prices increase as everyone is rushing to take advantage of the great savings.
4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are very popular traveling holidays. People are aware of this and for large groups it can be extremely difficult to find a place to accommodate everyone together in the same space.
I am currently experiencing these obstacles as well. My family and I have been trying to find a destination for the week of this 4th of July. We are willing to stay for at least a week. There will be at least 17 of us riding in at least 4 separate vehicles to get there. The ages range from 2 years old to 62 years old. The adults want to enjoy the weekend so arriving or departing on a weekend day is out of the question, but with us having a 7 day window, dates are a bit flexible. We also don't want to drive farther than 13 hours from Louisville, KY, so this limits our destinations. We are looking to rent a beachfront property with direct access to a beach, a private pool and hot tub, Jacuzzi tubs in the bathrooms or at least a couple of them. We will need at least 5 bedrooms, but would prefer 7. We need at least 3 bathrooms, but would prefer 5. We want to stay together, not in separate condos unless we absolutely have to. We want to be within walking distance, shops, and some nightlife. And yes we want it all for under 3K.
The only way we were able to find all of those amenities in our price range is to book the trip for July of 2020 and it's only January 2019! So we are still facing the obstacle of trying to find a destination for 4th of July week 2019! I found a way to go on a family vacation without breaking the bank! Yes it is completely possible to drive to a resort and stay for a week, all for the price you would spend for a few days or a weekend. Yes you can travel for 4th of July weekend 2019 and it's not too late to book! I will keep you posted in my blogs for what I find, but I can't wait to check out these for the family vacation! In my last blog post, I shared a link to affordable vacations for couples. This one is for families. https://www.bookvip.com/family/#a_aid=5c3fa64896
